I’ve been scouring google and youtube for good instructions on how to extract in photoshop elements 8. By far the BEST instructions I’ve found are here “Tutorial: How to Extract with Wendy Page” on the Sugar Hill Co. blog.
I’ve been playing around, trying to extract a few things and using the second method that Wendy provides in her tutorial, I think I’m getting the hang of it. It definitely take a lot of time and patience, which we all know I’m not known for. But the results are pretty cool.
PSE 8 also has a magic extractor tool under the Image tab that I just discovered. I haven’t used it yet, but perhaps I should. I hope I won’t be kicking myself if the boohiney wondering why I didn’t do that first. Oh crud, I probably should have tried that before typing up this post, shouldn’t I have?
Uhm, shhhh – don’t tell anyone.
If the magic extractor tool is fabulous and divine, I’ll come back and tell you and we’ll pretend that I never made this post. M-Kay??
In the meantime, here’s another layout I made the other day, using this cool kit, called July Birthday by Andilynn Designs.
I plan on having another download freebie for you very soon. Stay tuned!
Have a fabulous weekend!
Happy Flying!!
